In the absence of our own offspring playing sports we hijacked our friends' son's game. Eastern Counties so a v good standard and despite being under 17's very big in some cases. Nigel had a few Eastern Counties games himself about 30 years ago - definitely no artificial pitches involved then, just a lot of mud. I've gone for a pretty much 'no face shot' just in case. It was a lovely day when the sun was out - hopes of spring before the rain and cold returns.
Now, if someone would like to explain to me just what is going on here - I never really got it. Great clear shot though. I think good old fashioned mud would have enhanced the atmosphere somehow, but I'm sure the lads disagree.
Very well balanced photo Judith. A very sanitised game compared with the usual mud, sweat & gore! Great low down shot...you almost got down with the scrum!
