Apricity

I do like a new word. Apricity: warmth of the sun in winter. It wasn’t actually warm enough hence the Janie Crow shawl I made has come into its own. I wasn’t feeling brilliant on Thursday partly because the stress (which was obviously a bit more than I thought) had set off gastritis and my stomach was agony along with the sinuses and headaches that I brought on with the nasal sprays. We were mightily cheered though by a big box of Hotel Chocolat goodies from C’s parents and a delivery of chicken and hummus from Linda.
:( sorry about the stress and its consequences... Hope your feeling better. Like your new word.

Oooh so sorry about the tummy and stress, I think it finds ways to get to most of us, just hopefully not all at the same time! Hope that apricity and time will soon have you on the mend x

Sounds like you’ve been in a bit of a flux Judith....where are the quiet tranquil days of yore! Your fingers have been put to excellent use with that shawl. I have two very nice crochet blankets my aunt made years ago....so heavy & comforting but the colours are not to my taste ...I do use them though.
