We walked down to Waterbeach and back today with a nice stop at the pub in the middle. It was a favourite route when Monty was game but I haven’t been in ages. This swan was sitting and ignoring her other half’s mating dance and then decided to add to the nest. I’m not sure if she’s actually laid yet.

Weather: blustery
Covid: machinery being sent to India - I’m sure medical people would be v useful but that’s not easy.
Good thing: my sister holds the fort in Sussex - not much idea of progress despite a visit.
Fabulous

This is a stunning capture!
I hope we start sending planeloads of vaccine to India. Apparently thousands of doses are in danger of going to waste in Philadelphia at this very moment as people are content to freeload on the fact that others have been vaccinated and are choosing not to themselves. Very frustrating.
All the best to your dad with his recovery!

I am frightened of swans since my grandmother lived in Florida and warned me about how vicious the nesting swans are. Lovely photo you brave person! I am sure you were missing Monty 😢

@peggysirk I feel your pain - turns out we’re not all in this together in some people’s minds.

@bkp not that brave- they were across the river! I suspect stories of broken arms are exaggerated though!
