I crocheted a baby blanket for a friend pretty quickly and decided to use up the remnants of wool by making a matching panda - it’s taken AGES! The technique requires using a hook that is too small for the wool so it ends up nice and tight and a combination of that, poor light and dark colours meant that I was tensed up and gave myself an exquisitely painful RSI in my shoulder. Anyway - all was cured by rest and painkillers and I have finally finished. Grotty weather today but Nigel and I have been productive and cleared out and rearranged most of the kitchen cupboards. I’m confused about how I used to have no trouble fitting in pantry items when there were four of us but I’ve since we are two I’ve migrated into the utility room and shed as well. Nigel is in the process of adding a shelf into a cupboard- I have come to the conclusion that they are made too deep (both inwards and upwards!)
Weather: wet
Covid: all quiet
Good thing: B&Q has come up with the goods.
Such a treasure for a little one! You do masterful work, Judith. Just sorry that you killed your shoulder in the process. I hope the shoulder has truly started to improve.
My pantry is on my list for a clear out. Things seem to inexplicably multiply in there.
@denful I used to love the textile design end of year shows when Adam was at art school and the Asian overseas students would produce exquisite fine crocheted work - basically crocheting with sewing threads - I did always think it was a young person’s technique!
