It’s cow parsley season in the garden which always reminds us of moving in 23 years ago. The house was built in 1936 on an orchard belonging to St John’s College and has been resisting cultivation ever since - luckily we don’t want to ‘uncultivate’ the cow parsley!
Weather: cloudy
Covid: Indian variant has the potential to derail our unlocking...
Good thing: food shop done, hoovering done, potting on done - ready for a trip up to the other dad tomorrow - first sighting since Christmas 2019.
My favourite cow parsley, it’s always so pretty & natural. You must be fairly near the college then Judith....it sounds lovely! Your old college too so very fitting!
I love this image. 'Uncultivated' is my new gardening aspiration...neatly and purposefully uncultivated.
I don't even want to think about a variant surge. We've hit a plateau with vaccinations here. Fifty percent of adults in the country are unvaccinated. Prime fodder for a variant.
Safe travels to see Nigel's dad!
@peggysirk I was thinking exactly that Peggy- it’s not safe for us and we’re at nearly 70% of adults (we are doing 2nd doses faster now and have reached 38 and above for 1st doses). Nearly all over 50’s vaccinated at least but some communities are lower.
