We went to Krvavec, Slovenia skiing for five days but we didn't have ski passes for the arrival day. We were staying at 1600m which required a gondola ride and then a journey on this ski-lift. Sledge-time was 4.30 - 6.30pm (by which time it was dark) from the top of the ski lift to the upper gondola station. These people are bringing up inflatable sledges but we sent Rachel and Adam down on traditional ones provided by the hotel. We also sent enough money to buy a sledge-lift pass back up but unfortunately a newbie on the lift insisted on charging them the 'lift pass with sledge-hire' rate which was more than we gave them ... so they had a long walk back uphill!! Still - it saved us a few Euros!! I just cropped this a bit - the sunset is SOOC.
This shot is absolutely fantastic! The clouds look like the waves of the ocean, and the mountaintop in the distance looks like an island poking up out of the water. I love being on top of the clouds, it's like another world.
