We started our walk today in the pretty village of Dalham near Newmarket and I was examining all of the cottages with an eye on the garden theme! This little cottage caught my eye not really for the garden but for its pretty door. The thatch is beautiful but another house covered in scaffolding and plastic and still smelling of smoke just around the corner is a reminder that they are not the safest of building materials.
Funny, I have been looking at thatched cottages for the garden theme, there are quite a few around this area, but alot of them are built on the road (no front gardens as such) or perhaps the road was built up to the house!! love this one though.
