By the river in Newnham there is a little walled garden containing this neglected folly and a lot of geese as a rule. Today the cows had decided to use the shady space. Unfortunately it appears that cows cannot be trusted not to leave graffiti - this photo will be used in evidence.
The cow looks very guilty indeed :). I saw that antique (?) structure, when Philipp and I went canoeing and really wanted to take a picture of it, but we were too fast and on the way back the whole river was blocked with tourists who didn't know how to punt, so I had to help Philipp with intricate steering instead of taking photos. I'm so glad you took this wonderful and hilarious shot now instead. So I'll just fav it and show my parents instead of the one I didn't take ;).
Amazing photo ! The cow is definatly guilty , she still has paint on her back !! It isn't often you see cows with horns these days either so she is definatly not to be messed with ! That graffiti stands out so much !
Perfect pose for this irreverent cow. No respect for the folly. Well done. Re: my yard. Here in the USA I am often told how amazing it is that we have this big yards. When i visit my best mate Julie in Stratford I realize why people say so. I try never to take it for granted but when I have to mow it I tend to lose sight of the view!
Lol - this is great - I wonder if this is Holly or Ruth! A friend who works for the city council was telling me the other day about the cows on Coe Fen having learned to negotiate the cattle grids by walking with two legs on the margin at each side in a kind of straddle manouvre - she had to go and deal with them. I'm wondering if that was Holly and Ruth leading the rest of the herd astray again!
Great shot - and hunour! Love that the cow has the dappled reddish hue on it's back - maybe as evidence that it's leant against red paint????! Very COOL!
