I stand accused

This is Nala, our oldest cat and mother of Rafiki and Puddy who have appeared on these pages. She hates the dog and lives next door where she is spoilt rotten and has everybody exactly where she wants them. She made a rare visit tonight and made me feel very guilty - we would never have got a puppy if Nala hadn't gone missing for so long that we had decided that 'that was that' and I refused to get another cat because they disappear and break your heart. She would have been returned to us much quicker if her microchip hadn't failed - always worth getting them checked at the vets periodically. And we do love Monty too....
Nala is a very beautiful cat indeed. Gorgeous portrait.

She's a gorgeous cat. So sorry that she doesn't get along with Monty. But at least you have visitation and she's not very far away. Beautiful portrait ~ love the framing.

What a shame Nala and Monty don't get on together, sounds as though she is being well looked after.A lovely shot of her.

When my son got a pup their cat came & lived with us although she used to go & visit them but hated their dog, of course she is still here & the dog in NZ now. My daughters cat was missing 6 days last week before it turned up again ! Nala is such a pretty cat & is probably quite happy !

beautiful cat - but yes, really looking at you with those accusing eyes

the eyes are pin sharp Judith. well focussed.

Nala, looks lovely. In fact all your pets look lovely, but 'Monty' is my fave...probably because he appears on here more often and well I'm a dog person rather than a cat person...woof woof Monty :)

Such a pretty cat! One of the reasons we keep our kitties indoors is because of their natural fickleness. :-) Then there are the predators...
I love this portrait. :-)

Beautiful portrait that is a sad story - but cats often have 4 or 5 bolt holes and are not always the faithful friend a dog is! Good she is only next door.
