I went out to buy hen food and ended up at Wimpole Hall today - I'm not entirely sure how!! There is a nice folly up on the hill and these two people were heading for it - the clothes they're wearing will give you some idea of our August weather although it's fair to say that most people were in shorts. Also Happy 54th wedding anniversary to my mum & dad!

A fave for me too Judith !! It's the whole feel of the photo...a sort of old fashioned look about it . The elderly couple in their rather formal clothes, the way they are walking arm in arm gives it a by gone era look ! lovely! Happy anniversary Dad & Mum too.
This is lovely as others have said...a timeless quality, the hats are fabulous and they fit together. A wonderful composition and perhaps one you should show to your parents as a dedication.....congrats to them on all those years. I think a fave for me too! See you on the pop page!! :-)
@judithg When I take pictures, I don't really see them as photos. I see them as paintings. And this shot... Achieved it without doubt. :) I think that couple should frame this shot and put it in their living room. :D
FAV (was great in thumbnail, but even better in full!) great capture - love the tones in this too. reminds me of my nan and grandad for some reason - think it's the fields - remind me of being a kid at their house, there were fields like this at the back of Epping Forest... SUPERB
Holy Tomatoes Judith! This one is another favorite. I may just have to beg you to sell these pieces. I simply adore the tone, the composition..the heart and emotion of these pieces. This is what makes a photographer. This is natural talent that cannot be taught. I am a bit jealous. lol.
incredible shot...great tones, love the composition and even the shadow under the tree giving it a sense of size although you cant see the whole tree.....such an awesome shot!!
I love this picture! What a lucky break you had to catch this! My husband was stationed (some years ago) at RAF Lakenheath. We went to Cambridge often. I just LOVE that place! Took many walks there.
LOVE this photo. You have 40 faves on it now. WOW! This photo is so simple and understated, yet says so much. It makes you wonder about things, long for things,feel sad, and feel content. Awesome!
