I wasn't overly keen on having to get Adam to school by 8.30 on a Sunday morning but it was such a beautiful morning that it would have been a crime to have missed it. Obviously it was at its best on the way there (he's off to an all day hockey tournament in Bedford) but there was still some mist left when I stopped in Newnham on the way home. The river was 'steaming' and although the swans didn't quite play the game for me these fishermen were in a lovely spot. We all agreed that it was glove weather - in fact we had our first frost this morning.
Too many favourites Judith & I can pick everyone of yours lately !!! I love these mists & am dying for some misty days here but too dry I think ! i love your fishermen shot among the mist & the splash of green ...a fave again !!! Good Sunday morning work !!
Beautiful spot and shot, on the way home from class today the weather changed completely, we left Cambridge in sunshine but when we got to the river at Mepal, there was a curtain of fog, literally, you could walk from the sunshine to the fog. it was so weird I haven't seen anything quite like it before. Unfortunately I couldn't quite capture it on camera!!!
Gorgeous Judith.......not the best of times at the weekend but if you're up and about this is an absolute gift! Not sure about sitting fishing in it but you have captured the moment beautifully.
That's funny cos I used to live in Bedford before we emigrated to Cape Town :)
