That's always the way. Our dog has been with our daughter while we were away. We won't get her back till tomorrow. It seems strange in the house without her.
Is this Monty's 'excited' look? :) Even though he's not exactly telegraphing his emotions, the proximity to the returned Nigel tells the story! So glad your travelers are home safe and sound. I hope they had a fun trip to NC. Any medals, ribbons, trophies from the competition??
@humphreyhippo@peggysirk To be fair he had moved on from excited and was now in contented 'I'll just sit as close as possible so he doesn't leave' mode!! Nigel got 2 gold and a silver and Rachel a silver and 2 bronze Peggy. Happy days!!!
@peggysirk@peggysirk Oh yes indeed - though strictly speaking 'Team Crockett'... I used to get quite a bit of disapproval at US immigration for not taking the name of the man 'who killed him a bear when he was only three'. But his fighting genes live on! They had a great time and the local NC Tang Soo Do clubs did a fabulous job in organising/welcoming everybody once again.
@judithg Kudos to Team Crockett...they did their famous forebearer proud! In the hills of Tennessee/North Carolina that would be 'who kilt him a bar when he be only three'. The King's English got lost in the wilds. :) So glad they had a good time!
A lovely shot of Monty. What is it with dogs? The same in our house: I do practically all the care and Jinks cannot wait to sit with Ray, as close up as possible, when he's watching TV, reading the newspaper or a book, whatever!
Sweet capture
