Couldn't resist this little scene in Cath Kidson - taken before a very nice assistant told me I wasn't allowed to take photos. I told her that it wasn't on when they have a photogenic shop and she said, 'I know - it's not fair!' So this will be me shortly with the new machine....
Three good things:
1. Nice shop assistants.
2. Very good exhibition of Han burial tomb treasures at the Fitzwilliam Museum (though they have a very strict no photo policy throughout the museum and it doesn't stop people nicking stuff).
3. Monty is 5 today :0)
Ooh have you been in here for some material? Perhaps you are going to cover chairs or make an apron or a new jacket for Monty...... it all sounds a lovely new venture, don't let it take over from the camera! A very happy doggy Birthday to Monty & I hope he has has something special for his tea! Is Rachel settling in OK !
this shocked me a bit because I first focused on the feet (dont know why) and then had to do a real double take when there was no head - hadn't quite realised it was a model!!
do you remember the large sweet stall that used to be in the Lion Yard/Grand Arcade - I saw the man there telling off a girl for taking photos of it, I think it's odd!
Oh, I just love the colours in this shot! I miss the Fitzwilliam... I really wanted to take a picture of that Roman army knife but didn't dare :(. Happy birthday to Monty!!!
@bmnorthernlight@lauralatham@lbmcshutter@jgpittenger@jlhopgood You'd think it would be good for business - if you want to copy her designs you can go on the internet and see them all over. A woman at a craft fair went mad with Adam when he was younger and smaller because he took a photo of her stall - three older ladies who were about to make a purchase put their goods down and walked off in protest because she, 'was unnecessarily aggressive to a small boy' who clearly wasn't about to start making handbags or whatever they were though I do sympathise with people who make original things and then people copy them. I think Ms Kidson can cope though.
Oh I really like this shot, Judith. I too snuck some photos at Cath Kidson in London but nobody saw me doing it. And I'm sorry I missed the important occasion: Happy Belated Birthday @Monty!!! Mwuahhh!!
Happy Birthday Monty - who is about half as old as Jinks!
Happy birthday to the magnificent Monty!!
