Whoop - it arrived!! I haven't really given my new lens a proper run out - a dog lead clamped between your knees when trying to zoom in with a telephoto is so not ideal. But I did think I might get some bokeh from the sun on the water. Other than that a very irritating day - I thought I would have all of my paperwork sewn up but instead I have people failing to get back to me all day and all of the gas and electricity bills printing out in Japanese. And another 6th Form Open Evening tonight with quite hideous traffic and a weird spooky fog on the way home which may have been mist or smoke.
Three good things:
1. Three lovely birthday presents today and it isn't my birthday for another 360 days.
2. Dog on knee, cat on desk, can't see a thing but I'm popular!
3. Sorted out taxis for Rachel coming back after karate so we don't have to worry about her walking 20min down dark alleys.
I love it & nearly as excited as you about seeing your new lens photos!!! this is all bokehery & dappled with light ...super duper Judith!!! You animals sound just like ours all huggy & needy all the time! I like your no. 3 better be safe with no worries!!!
Splendid shot with that new lens! Fabulous focus and bokeh. I think you are going to have a wonderful time with telephoto power. :)

Superb shot. Great colours and wonderful separation between the foreground and background. I see you shot at f/8 so you must have selected your shooting position very carefully.
@glenmoor In what sense - to be honest I set the exposure down a couple of notches, aimed at the sparkly water and went for it. I'm very keen to learn for the future though.

funny I was talking to my mate about this last week - my last #1 prior to last weeks was of a really not very good shot but it got 40 odd faves in January!! I think i'm going to go into hibernation from commenting!! (not much different to now really!!)
