Buzzing

When I looked at this in the camera I was disappointed that the bee wasn't side on but I'm pleased with his fluffiness so he's staying. And I hate borage in the garden (this was in a field) but I have to admit that the hairs are awesome. Very late posting as my iron and I are in meltdown.
Three good things:
1. Watching Mr Lucy Doolittle doing amazing things on BBC1 while ironing (me, not him).
2. New sandals for our trip to Florence - higher than anything else I possess so I probably won't get beyond the hotel in them.
3. Gas all reconnected and hole containing broadband cable safely closed up.
PS Nice large if you can be bothered.
The focus is spot on on both the bee and the plant, a lovely shot, great on large.

Like a hover bee & those amazing hummer birds in foreign parts. Those little buds look like they have blue bows on them ....very opportune photo Judith.
I hope you can walk round Florence in those sandals!!

I am constantly amazed by macro flower shots like this one.
June 13th, 2013
This is a super shot if the flower but what is so good is that it shows the body go the little bee looking suspended in the air!
June 13th, 2013
@hamble is quite right - the way you've captured the hairs on the plant is superb, and the colour of the flowers works so well in large format. Fav'd

Very lovely fuzzy hairyness

Awesome fluffiness all round! The hairs on that plant are brilliantly captured and love your orange bee.

Someone has been posting quite a few shots of a naked bike ride i presume in London town..i was wondering where you are seeing as you post some wonderful shots of naked bikes...lol...have a good trip to Florence...the little ones A-levels seem to be going good all over by next week..phew..and phew again...during her 18th with a glass of Chardonnay i asked her where she would like to go..thankfully Barcelona..was her reply it could have been worse....phew...so a few days for all of us..i feel as if i have taken these A levels myself..lol...
June 13th, 2013
@tsingtao I know exactly what you mean - I keep telling people I've finished my exams!! Barcelona should be great. Glad the A'levels are going well - bet she's nailing them.

Excellent capture and I love the angle on the bee.
June 13th, 2013
@happypat No intention of walking very far in them though the girl looked quite shocked when I said they are the highest thing I possess...
June 13th, 2013
Very nice large - lovely retreating bee and hairs!
June 13th, 2013
Funny bee, looks like a mini teddy bear bouncing! We have borage and it gets out of hand but look on the bright side, it is great in a Pims and the bees love it. Great shot and thank you for mentioning Hubby. Fav

lovely bee shot. I've been trying to get borage established in our garden for the past couple of years, to no avail. Unfortunately I missed Mr @lucypics programme due to an unscheduled pub trip, but hope to see it on iPlayer in the next couple of days.
June 13th, 2013
@jantan it is a bit bloody, but Malcolm staring role is 37 minutes in on iplayer.
June 13th, 2013
@jantan Bloody hell - it's a nightmare to get rid of - and those hairs hurt. The hens like it and @lucypics us right - you can put the flowers in gin but honestly it spreads everywhere.
June 13th, 2013
@lucypics Actually I could do with Malcolm to wire my jaw for the weekend - need to fit into a dress next week...
June 13th, 2013
@judithg it doesn't work apparently because you can melt chocolate!
June 13th, 2013
@lucypics Drat!
June 13th, 2013
@lucypics Thanks. I will have a look. I have been to an art exhibition this evening where one of the key pieces involved (slightly unfresh) pigs' hearts in custard - I can handle it! It was the Pimms thing that attracted me to it, but actually I am not a massive Pimms fan, so maybe I will just give up.
June 13th, 2013
@jantan strange, it pops up everywhere, perhaps it is fussy over its soil.
June 13th, 2013
This is an awesome shot, great detail with the hairs. Love the colors.
June 13th, 2013
Perhaps you should have titled this "fuzzing" !!!
June 13th, 2013
Love the bee mid-air!
June 13th, 2013
A triffid and a bee. Excellent catch. He does look very fluffy. :)
June 14th, 2013
Love the pov on the bee!his antennae are so cute
June 14th, 2013
Really like the borage fuzz too
June 14th, 2013
The bee is awesome!Love its contrasting color and it's fluffiness repeats the hairiness on the flowers!
June 14th, 2013
The more I look at it, the more Mr Bee is in free fall, super detail and well worth hitting the magnifier.
June 14th, 2013
Very nice large - and a fav! I love borage, but don't have it in the garden - yet!
June 14th, 2013
Nice capture!
June 14th, 2013
Excellent action capture Judith.
June 14th, 2013
wonderful, wonderful shot! I'm glad you left the bee.
June 14th, 2013
Spectacular, Judith. Just love how the bee seems suspended in air!
June 14th, 2013
Lovely shot of flower and bee - love the hairy bits
June 14th, 2013
What an amazing shot. Trip to Florence sounds great. Can't wait to see your pictures.
June 14th, 2013
Jo
Gorgeous hairy detail on this, well captured.
June 15th, 2013
Lovely shot - makes a nice change to see back of bee, contrasts with side of flowers, nice fuzzy borage.
June 15th, 2013
What a great capture. spot on i'd say
June 16th, 2013
ha - come to look at your borage! (took me ages to find out what it was!) I did have the advantage that there was a whole field to choose from to shoot!
June 30th, 2013
@sparkle to be fair I was only after the bee because I hate the stuff but the hairs do make a good photo so I may have to mellow a bit...
