Just a quick iPhone shot today while I was grumpily clothes shopping with Adam. I really didn't have time and he's very fussy so shortly after I abandoned him in favour of Waitrose. Anyway - very fresh graduates on their way back to St John's for the graduation party. A day of mixed emotions I think - excited, proud, relieved (hopefully) and also sad to be leaving friends and moving on to pastures new.
Three good things:
1. The end of a crazy run around sort of day and Book Club are coming so time to relax!
2. Some excellent books to discuss.
3. Hello Book Club!
Graduation is always bitter-sweet and you have captured some of that feeling here - a tinge of regret as they wander along realising 'that's it, all over'.
A beautiful shot to capture this moment of passage into another episode of life. My commenting will get even worse from now on as I am on baby duty non-stop (husband has to finish his bachelor thesis very soon..). I'll do my best though ;). Read a book for me, too ;).
I would really like to belong to a book club...Cathy said I should start one myself but am nervous about doing anything like that....i think i might join yours through 365!!!
I am halfway through the Snow Child & really enjoying it.
The end of the good life...how will they manage the change in their lives & all friends scattered.
A great mix of lovely buildings, bikes & happy graduates. These lads are fussy & won't be seen dead in that!!
@judithg Ooh can I be a 365 book club member? I will check them out ...almost finished my current book!! Trouble is there is no wine on a 365 book club!!!!
@happypat Oh course you can! I'll tell you what wine we're on in advance. Yes - Alan Johnson very tough start in life - looking forward to it but hanging on for paperback at the moment.
@judithg Goodo!! I will be ready!! Will check on kindle but might start with the cheapest or better still look in the library..haven't been in the place for years what with the library van coming round etc. Funny enough i had a card from Janet the library van lady who retired thanking me for the coffee & custom. I cancelled the new man perhaps i should not have!!!
@phil_howcroft Yes I edited using Camerabag for Mac - this is one of their own filters - can't remember which one though - the original was rather dull like the day...
