Out early to Milton Country Park this morning before it got too hot. It has the double attraction of lots of shade and a plentiful supply of lake water (and frozen yoghurt but I didn't partake owing to the fact that if I leave Monty outside somewhere he barks his head off). Took a few shots of a mother and baby grebe but they were a bit too far away and also quite an unusual dog who may well feature later this week but have plumped for the butterfly doing her bit for the blackberry crop which is already looking like a whopper.
Three good things:
1. Feeling bonded with Kate as I spent all day of the 22nd July in labour (in 1994!).
2. My holiday collage on PP - thank you folks!!
3. Out to an end of term party tonight (seems slightly odd as Adam's term ended on 12th June with the exams but I won't mention that to the tired teachers!)
You are allowed at an end of term party...things have come on!!!!! Hope you don't embarrass your offspring at school!!
Making blackberries is a wonderful title ...you must have procreation on your mind today!!! lovely capture!
This is a fabulous capture and I so agree with you about Kate, all that public attention is not helpful at such a time!!! I had a summer baby too in 1986 ....the heat is so exhausting!
Lovely capture of the butterfly :) I keep going onto the bbc news page just to check I've not missed the big news! I was most disappointed to read some of the comments on radio 2's Jeremy Vine's facebook page this afternoon, if your not interested in the birth of the baby don't watch/listen but don't say nasty things, every birth is incredibly special. Little rant over... breathe!
I've had the news on TV all day waiting for word of the Royal arrival....
