Smallest and Oldest

Peterhouse - small but perfectly formed in 1284. It looks fabulous in the summer as the window boxes are beautiful and the porters have an ever-growing collection of planted tubs outside their lodge which is very pretty and more relaxed looking than a lot of colleges. It used to be rather old fashioned and right wing but I think it's mellowed these days. I've been intending to go in without the mutt but I had to get through some work this morning and ended up having to incorporate it into my dog walk - hence a shot through the railings. They need to get a mop bucket that co-ordinates with the window boxes.
Three Good things:
1. Seasonal produce - I am enjoying cherries, chillis (courtesy of a plant I'm house-sitting and I hope they get back before it looks any sadder), courgettes, tomatoes, blackberries and mint tea at the moment and the apple crop is looking good.
2. Perseus showers - if the clouds will move away.
3. A rickshaw with a story that will shortly appear in Extras.

Saw Monty then saw you as I was heading out of town. You looked like you were on a mission. It was about 3! Lovely shot of beautiful Cambridge

Awesome...color, composition, edit and I quite like the yellow bucket. Somehow it is a reminder that all is not fancy. fav

@tishpics @lucypics You should have pipped at me!! I was thinking about you - wondering if I should call you but the dog is a bit of an encumbrance. This was taken at 2.50 pm not 1.50 pm so you must have seen me around Lensfield Road ish?? I was wondering which route to take to make a decent loop and Monty was looking for scraps at EVERY opportunity - he's only just got over eating chicken bones last week...

Stunningly framed college with those beautiful windows.
This college appeals to me very much....it looks cosy inviting somehow even down to the mop & bucket!
Bicycles there too & a suitably large lamp to light the way!
Cloudy here too so no Perseus tonight I think!

Those arches and windowboxes and mop bucket certainly soften those gorgeous windows.

Almost perfect but the mop bucket does add a shot of colour :o) It hasn't had too bad an effect on me as it's still a fav xx

Perhaps a green bucket then? Nice shot through the arches - I've never seen this college.

Beautiful..............the students and staff who spend years here really are very privileged and what a lot of effort from those who tend the gardens/grounds.

I like the glimpse through the arches

Such fabulous architecture. I love the view through the three archways...the wonderful windows are perfectly spaced and all with immaculate window box flora...those must be a full time job for one of the grounds crew. Love the quintessential Cambridge bikes neatly in a row to the side. And the mop bucket adds a bright pop of reality to the shot...a reminder that it takes effort to keep a place looking so spectacular! I'm with you on summer produce as a very good thing. No Perseids viewing here this very morning with a badly timed cloud cover.
