No Wind in the WIllows

I have had a slightly bonkers day as it is the end of the month and the end of the tax year and the renewal date for various things that require forms and I am going away on Monday and all the mundane tasks like shopping have to be done in advance online. But I decided to make Monty happy and take him for a ride in the car and then a walk - he always sulks if we just set out from home. - and I ended up with too many photos that I liked. I've gone with this because I love the willows when they are all fresh like this and I will confess that I was trying to focus on the punter but I like the focus on the willow. Also I may be able to recreate the other shot that I like better tomorrow - and if not I'll do some sort of cheat. The cloud was really low and oppressive on my walk but somehow the light was interesting in a few shots and it brought out some delicate colours in others. C'est la vie - photos are like buses...

Three GT:
1. The fab reaction to both of my animal 'last minute emergency' shots.
2. Still appreciating my home town.
3. The predictability of animals - put a towel down and a pristine cat will immediately sit on it whereas a wet dog will circle it before dragging it around the room.
I agree with the lovely focus of the willows and would also like to see this particular photo with focus on the bridge and the punters!

LOL about your animal behaviour!
Punting already on the river.....lovely. I agree the pale green of the Willow is very soft & delicate, almost always the first tree out yet it has quite fragile looking leaves. I like the multiple bridge background too. Sounds like you might be away on your own?

I love the point of focus in this shot. The background is clear enough to see what it is but soft enough to show off the willow to its best xx

oh my. love the softness of the tree and the comparison to a rock like balance. LOVELY

The willows are beautiful! Buses = photos = robins - at least in my experience. Have a lovely time, Judith, wherever you are going - in case I don't get a chance again to say.
