I was going to take Monty on a quick local walk but having had an e-mail saying the job I was going to do had been done already I packed him in the car and pootled along the riverbank. There were a couple of men with serious lenses taking photos - one ensconced on the bank of the tributary for quite a while. I should have asked him what he was looking for but went all shy. Water vole I decided with no actual evidence. Anyway - I stuck my camera on sports mode to see what I could catch - coming towards me would be good next time!
