Lammas Land (pronounced as in lamb) has some amazing old trees, particularly ancient willows and I would hae taken them if I'd had time to get to the right spot before the sun rose too high. As it was I quite liked this young tree being picked out by the sunshine. The land is pretty boggy, being a flood plain (although the very dry weather in recent years has been killing some of the old trees) so it gets some stunning hanging mists.
You just caught this at the right moment for sure Judith ! Those rays of sun coming down behind that tree so that the back trees are filtered & the front one a silhouette is so beautiful, marvellous effect !! Looks like stunning start to your day with the sun.... we are all gloomy here !!
Look, enough already - I can't possibly fave this as well...can't you just post a sh1t shot!! maybe I should jsut come home and join you in Cambridge - it seems to be where it's at!!
