On my way home from work, I passed the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe today. It is an impressive place to remember and remind.
On an area of around 19,000 square meters there are 2,711 concrete pillars of different heights.
The uneven, gently sloping floor quickly creates a feeling of insecurity and instability and you can feel the loss in the narrow paths between the high concrete pillars.
It is so emotive and strong in mood.
