My sister-in-law gave me a lovely photo frame recently, and I spent some time today finally filling it.
Since most of our pictures live on screens these days, it was quite a treasure hunt to find physical prints. But it was well worth the effort. This frame now hold photos of my husband’s late parents, making it a really nice way to keep their memory front and centre in our home.
Before he headed off to the London Stadium to support West Ham, I managed to get him to pause and pose next to the new display. Let's hope his team is as successful as my photo framing!
Lovely photo of your husband next to the family photo frame. And well done for printing your photos👏 It's such a lovely way to remember people and recall memories.
My Dad supported West Ham, having been born there. Delighted that they won! 😃
@angeg Thank you! Yes, I have a lovely husband 🤗 He’s a proper East London boy—grew up and went to school around Wanstead and Leytonstone. He even started his career at the Midland Bank in Leytonstone and Mile End. And of course, he’s a loyal West Ham fan through thick and thin! Do you know those areas well?
@judythroughthelens all my dad's family are from the East End. He was born in Plaistow and grew up in Stratford, where my nan and auntie lived for many years. We used to visit nearly every fortnight but I haven't been back for many years.
Dad's best friend was an avid supporter of West Ham, never missing a game. So much so, his ashes were scattered in the Supporters Memorial Garden 🥹
