King Alfred's Cake again by julienne1

King Alfred's Cake again

I found some more of this strange fungus named after the legend of King Alfred's burnt cakes, or sometimes known as Coal Fungus or Cramp Balls. I posted another pic on 25th January - http://365project.org/julienne1/365/2015-01-25 - but this time I found lots of it growing all over a live tree trunk rather than a dead log. None of the other trees around had any but this one had probably about 50 growths.
