Jersey Tiger Moth (Euplagia quadripunctaria)

A pretty rare sighting! These used to be confined to the Channel Islands but in the last few years they have spread to a few areas around the south coast of Dorset and Devon, Sussex and the Isle of Wight. As far as I can find there have only been a handful of sightings in Somerset, so I am very fortunate to have spotted this one!

@jomo It didn't actually take much spotting. I saw what I thought was a falling leaf and looked closer to see it settling there right in front of me :)
