Uneasy cohabitation

Mute swans and Canada Geese sharing the same roosting raft on the water at Ham Wall RSPB nature reserve. Prime roosting spots are at a premium and there were several squabbles going on while they tried to decide whether they would tolerate a shared spot for the night. In the end the Canada Geese decided to back down and swam off elsewhere.
Wonderful colours and I love the bookending swans

Is it wrong to prefer the geese? I know the swans are more majestic, but I've never met one who wasn't ornery (whereas I've met maybe 2 geese who weren't)

@novab @shazzym - yes I was enjoying the reflections too

@woofandweft1 - yes they are a bit thuggish at times too

@blackmutts - not wrong at all to prefer either :) I tend to enjoy them all in their own characters. I have kept wildfowl geese in the past and they have always been calm and friendly unlike some of the domestic breeds which are just plain crazy! These Canadas didn't seem that bothered at all to move along to find some more serene bedfellows :)
