I took lots of lapwing flock pictures this past weekend on holiday in Norfolk, I just love the way they twinkle in the sunlight as they turn their white breasts to the light, but usually mistimed the exposure and got the black backs :( Nice that you caught both here.
@wylieclicks glad you saw lots in Norfolk. My brother lives on a boat on the broads and I never seem to see them when I'm there. I've been heartened this year by seeing so many more here than in recent years. They are such a joy to see, especially, as you say, when they turn in the light and change colour en masse
