Hawthorn Shield Bug - Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale by julienne1

Hawthorn Shield Bug - Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale

This little bug is still an nymph and will look a bit different when fully adult. The red tinged edges make it difficult to spot on hawthorn where it feeds which is good camouflage. This one had fallen on to some knapweed so I rehabilitated it onto a neighbouring hawthorn.
A brilliant and detailed shot, fav.
