Mottled Grasshopper by julienne1

Mottled Grasshopper

There are still lots of grasshoppers around enjoying the warm sunshine at the moment. This one is a Mottled Grasshopper - Myrmeleotettix maculatus. It's different from other grasshoppers not only because of the mottled colour but also because it has clubbed tips to its antennae
A great shot of this unusual critter, lovely tones it has. Those tips look like mini baseball bats.
