Collard Hill from Somerton Door

A rare glimpse of blue sky and welcome respite from rain, rain, rain! Collard Hill, near Street, is one of the very few places where the Large Blue butterfly breeds. Right now their caterpillars will be safe underground in red ants' nests successfully pretending to be ant larvae and feasting on the real ant larvae until they are ready to pupate.
