Right now the Somerset Levels hosts many thousands of migrant starlings seeking food on the waterlogged fields. It's hypnotising watching them rise up and swoop down en masse in their search for food. Every evening they all head for the reedbeds at Ham Wall RSPB reserve where almost a million of them roost overnight before setting out again the next day to continue the search for something tasty.
