This unusual blackbird has taken up residence in my back garden. Leucism is an abnormality that can affect all kinds of birds but seems to be more common in blackbirds. It results in white markings on the usually all black male or brown female. My daughter has named him "Charlie"!
@thewatersphotos he is sometimes when he shouts out his warning call, but I have to say that the male blackbird song is my favourite birdsong - it is so very beautiful, especially in the still of the evening
