I have had these Cape Gooseberry shells 'hanging around' for some time, so thought today was a good day to create an image.. set up my tent and black/grey tile ( as apposed to the black Perspex) and tripod and had a little play..
We have had a bit of a traumatic day in our neighbourhood as there was a very serious accident at our gate way this morning, and being a small community it is very upsetting. I was going to give a salute to the emergency services From the Fire Brigade, police Ambulance and the Rescue Helicopter and the SCU, they all do a fantastic job.. but after some thought I have decided it did not seem right..
This image is really lovely - they are so delicate looking.
A shame to hear about the terrible accident near you - I agree, that the emergency services do a great job. Given that the local Fire Service personnel are volunteers and have to return to their regular day jobs and don't get any payment for the rescue work they do - makes you even more proud of their efforts.
Super shot it is so delicate. I agree the emergency services do a fantastic job. People sometimes don't appreciate how some of the situations they are in can cause them problems too. They deal with such horrendous things on occasion and occasionally it catches up with them.
Oh I love Gooseberries. Their shells are so delicate and you've made such a pretty image of this one.
Sorry to hear about the accident in your town. Living in a small community I know how much it can rock everyone.
wonderful shot - Fav I know what you mean when you witness a horrific accident - it makes you feel a bit deflated. When I was nursing, I dealt with it all but now it makes me feel quite upset
