Today I thought I would 'showcase' one of our 'Girls'.. Meet #94 and her son.. she has been living the life of Riley as she is a very late calver, so she has been on the best grass and has not had to do too much work for it, but now that she has calved she will be in full production and earning her keep.. That udder is showing promise..
Have just added her Pedigree name to give her, her full title.. Each co is given a full name .. Huarau .. our herd name.. Forest the Bulls name ( her father) and Antoinette as a family name.. all the girls get an 'A' name from this mother.. ..
That must be your pre fix name......great explanation above of the way pedigree cows are named. Ours was Latus......then the female name. Different families of Wendy's , Janet's, Nanette etc. She looks a lovely cow & nice bag! Love the high up position! Not easy to catch them like that. What do you do with the bull calf. Surprised she still has him or is this a new born one ? Perhaps ignore that last couple of questions!!
She looks udderly full! Lovely positioning and what a cute little calf (and heart!).
