Green Lipped Mussel....

This little Green Lipped Mussel was sitting on the beach and I like that it was forming a heart... I have before been known to 'rearrange' the shells and things on the beach but it never looks as good as when you find them in their natural placing... The Green Lipped Mussel is farmed commercially in NZ but these ones grow on the rock all up the coastline..

Before Harry had his knee op we used to buy NZ Green lipped mussel ointment to rub on his aching knee. It was dear stuff but really helped. Beautiful green shell, it looks amazing lying there.

@happypat Yes I know it is good for that type of thing .. and good to eat as well... this one was empty .. so perhaps it was someone with a sore knee that got there before me...
