This afternoon as I was mowing the lawn I noticed that my pretty shrub .. Michellia was in full flower .. It was the perfume that I noticed first .. it is an intoxicating smell ... So one sprig deserved to be given a photo shoot.. It has a very special spot in my garden as it was given to us when we lost our daughter to Breast Cance 5 years ago.. She was one very special lady .. And October is Breast Cancer research and fundraising month so I hope you support this cause ...
What a beautiful image. It is wonderful that you have this Michellia as a memento of your daughter. I have a rose bush planted by my son and grandson in memory of my mother and it is so special to me. It's almost like she speaks to me of her joy through the rose bush which is endlessly blooming. @yaorenliu don't think they mind the cold but would need protection from the wind ... We are very exposed as well but have it sheltered from the west..

How lovely that the perfume first alerted you to these lovely flowers. You will smell the perfume & think of your lovely girl. Mowing lawns already, spring comes so quickly in nz!
Delicate and very beautiful. So sorry to hear about your daughter's death from that all-too-common disease. But such a gorgeous living thing is a very fitting tribute to her.
