Last night I decided to have an early morning get up and go the the lake in time for sunrise as the weather report said the good weather was coming to an end... I got there, set up and waited ... it looked pretty mediochre.. but then this happened ... just as the first rowers of the day were heading for the start line... The course is 2 Km long so for every race thats 4 ks... Kenna had two races late afternoon and Taryn had 3.. so a very big day for them both .. They both did extremly well ... another day tomorrow..
Ruataniwha is Maori.. Rua meaning two ... Taniwha meaning monster (sea/lake) ...
Well done to both girls.
