This little Church is in the little Alpine Village of Tekapo, a Lake side village that is famous for it 'Big Sky..And there is an Observatory there.. As well as this quaint little Church that is right on the lake and has a view behind the alater of the lake and Mountains.. yesterday while I was there I had to wait for ages to get a shot of the church without tourist's around.. So I went down before sunrise and hoped I would get a people free shot .. which I did .. but I did rather like this shot with this lovely lady walking down the steps...
You picked the best time Julz. I was amazed when we went the difference in numbers of visitors there from the first time we went. That view through the window is so lovely. This is all the better for having that person there too, she had the same idea as you. Are there lots of lupins round there too when it's lupin time?
You can't get into the Church any more Pat .. Only to a service and there are ropes and fences every where really sad... I really would of like to get the shot from inside.. Just a few stray lupins on the side of the road ... no mass colour of them ..

When we visited, we had to wait until midday for the low fog over the lake to clear. While we waited we drove up to the observatory which was bathed in sunshine and looked down at the fog!
