Will be a bit absent over the next few days as away with no Wi-Fi.. so Just a quick upload from my phone.. are spending a bit of time on the Coromandel town of whangamata... it's a very popular destination in summer but equally so in the winter.. and always surfers can be seen in the waves...
Ooh Whangamata, lucky you I have spent a few happy times there over the years.
If you walk along the beach & see a green & red beach house right on the sea front that's where we used to stay. It belongs to friends of our NZ family & they let us stay there many times. It's so bright because the husband had difficulty seeing where it was & got muddled so they kept it that colour. It's a very basic place among all the swish renovated houses but I think it's what a beach house should be! How we lived trotting down over the grassy garden straight onto the beach. We haven't been fir a few years now as the old people died & of course further to get to from Taupo but might get there again so e day hopefully.
