River Lupins ..

Today I went for a walk to the Waikato River Mouth.. There is always a bit of colour this time of year with the Lupins in flower.. Had some rough weather over the last few months so alot of 'drift' wood has been washed ashore.. I should take a leaf out of @kwind 's book and make a drift wood Christmas tree... .. hmmm we will see...

Drift wood tree is a great idea, I love Kim’s trees! Lupines looking wonderful, I’ve seen Lake Tekapo with lupines around it but never in real life.

@happypat Lake Tekapo and other parts of SI Lupins have been on the news this week ... DOC want to get rid of them as they are becoming a 'pest'... very sad if that had to happen .. The tourist flock to get a photo with them ...these yellow ones are different and are only just coming back after getting hit by a caterpillar that nearly was the end of them ..
