Today we travelled 2 hours South to see our GD row in the MAADI Cup ( NZ Highschool Rowing Champs) which are being held at Karapiro .. We arrived just as Taryn was about to race ... And then the races were called off because of wind and the danger of the single skulls being tipped out .. every half hour they reviewed and it kept getting delayed.. we decided to head home.. just as we got back to town we heard that Taryn had got through to the semi finals .. But there would be no more racing today ... Very frustrating for the kids but lets hope it's all racing tomorrow...
@dide This is just a small portion of them ..There are about 2000 compeditors from 200 schools... Some schools have very large teams but today we were talking to the Mum of a girl that is the sole compeditor from here school..
