After we settled into our bach we went for a walk along the river mouth around the rock to the coast .. This area is famous for it's amazing rock formations .. 'The Three Sisters' but several years ago one of the Sisters sercumed to the sea .. If you look very closely you may see Mt Taranaki just tucked behind the right column.. What a stunning place to spend a few days .. You have to time your visit right as this spot is only accesible during low tide ..
Nature doesn't care if we humans give it a name and turn it into an icon the sea just keeps turning. We lost the old man in the mountain several years ago and it was very sad. Glad I have a picture or two.
