I have never grown these poppies before and enjoy looking out every morning seeing their 'bobbing heads' .. This shot shows the 3 stages of the bud, flower and seed head. Hopefully I will have some for Armistice Day on the 11th...
Lovely image. I've had them growing for a number of years and they self sow beautifully. I'm always surprised by the variations in shape and colour that I get each year.
They are a fascinating flower and one could see how they multiply. One seed got into a potted plant and now there are about 12 plants! The colour doesn't go - bright red with coral!
I have some saved seeds collected a few months ago.... I guess I should plant some!
