Bubbling Mud Pools..

Another day of adventures on our 'see where the road takes us' tour.. Today we have ended up in Taupo.. central North Island and in the middle of the Geo thermal area.. We turned off to visit Wai-o-tapu thermal land but unfortunately it was closed.. but thankfully this small area is accessible.. These hot pools reach 60-80 degrees centre grade.. No mud bath here..

Fascinating to see with all that steam rising…I never get tired of seeing these hot pools! So lovely to lie in on the rare occasion I do now!

What a shame it was closed. Wai-O-Tapu is spectacular! This pool is lovely though!

@dkbarnett yes I think it's the best but disappointed it is closed.. especially when we see a sign on the main road.. Yes we are open.. not a good look for the upcoming tourists..
