We have been on full alert all weekend for the arrival of cyclone Gabrielle. Everyone is on tender hooks following the huge floods two weeks ago when lots of properties were lost and 4 people lost their lives. So we have all been hunkering down in the Northern half of the North Island.
We were forced to cancel, our Camera Club end of year Salon and Prizegiving. The winds got up a little and we had a little rain, but still waiting to see what is instore for us.
I took this shot from the shelter of the eaves, and had my ND filter on to slow down the shutter speed, you can see the wind it is whipping the tree's about, but I fear worse is to come.
