While in the City for Kenna's Graduation we went to the City Square to see the $1.3 million Christmas tree.. 18.4 meters 10,000 led lights and 4,000 pohutukawa flowers. It does look impressive but I am pleased we are not ratepayers of the City that have footed the bill..
This shot was take from the Giant Bauble's and the tree in the background, with The Ferry Building to the left and the Rail Station to the right..
It looks as big as ours in little Oamaru but I hope it did not cost as much! You had to get down to business for this angled shot!

Really nice composition. Have you thought about entering it in the "A Holly, Jolly Street Art" challenge? They are particularly looking for entries of Christmas street art or outdoor decorations. I think this could be a good contender.
I have come back to look at this image again. Thinking back to when we first began our photography, we probably wouldn't have thought about this pov. It's great!
