Maybe it is because we read from left to right and so our eyes naturally move that way. In this shot you are drawn across the picture to the tree on the right.

So interesting to see the two images. Thanks for posting this one too. I think maybe Babs is right, in that we read from left to right and that is the way our eyes naturally progress.

This is beautiful, but @onewing is right, we do tend to track visually from left to right. Mind you, I like this shot very much, and the right to left doesn't bother me at all.
