When we finally arrived this morning, we were picked up with a van and brought to our flat to discover it was just a very very short walk to Vatican City State.
Then we realised today was Palm Sunday and that means the Pope would come there today so we decided to have a look and yeah... we were not the only with that idea :D
Yup, there were 100000 people on the St Peter's Square ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Peter%27s_Square)... They were from all nations you can think of: Croatia, Brazil, Korea, Kenya...
And yup, I saw Pope Francis :)
In the afternoon we went to the Spanish Steps which wasn't as spectacular as we though but it was cool :)
And then we didn't find our flat again and now I'm totally exhausted... we're just sitting around and playing Anno 2070 :)
That's a great photo of the crowds in St. Peter's Square! Were you able to get a photo of the Pope? (I assume he gave an address from the window, which is pretty far from the crowds.)
