Heathrow Fountain by jyokota

Heathrow Fountain

I went through immigration and officially "entered" the UK for about half an hour to look for something to photograph at the airport. I played with various settings for this photo, and ultimately chose this one because it shows the water suspended above the ground but gravity pulling it back down, and seemed more magical than the longer exposure straightforward one where it shows the water path from the ground up, or the very short exposure one that looked like scattered waterdrops in midair, confused and not sure what they were doing.
I don't usually associate Heathrow with fountains - I'm sure there are none of these at Terminal 3 where I usually seem to end up. Great shot!

@dolphin -- this was outside of Terminal 5. I always have to do the 10 minuteTerminal 3 - 5 bus shuttle when I go through Heathrow. I took about 10 photos of this fountain, and that was it for the day!

I agree! Love how the water is suspended in the air. Perfect capture.

Great capture of the fountains...you did well at showing how they are...and that is hard with these guys!
