Colander Art ? by jyokota

Colander Art ?

I have no idea what it is or why it appeared at my subway stop but the I liked the way it caught the light. And I had only taken photos of two things that day. It reminds me of my favorite kind of colander -- the kind that doesn't let rice grains fall through when you wash them.

A general note of apology for being so unpredictable about posting, responding, thanking, etc. Retirement life has meant that I have no predictable pattern to my days, except that they never follow any pattern for more than a couple of days at a time. Maybe it wasn't a good year to do 365, on the other hand, it may be the only anchoring thing I've done this year! I really do appreciate your patience and good will, and your generosity and support with comments.
Wow! Fab curves and lighting.

Interesting twisting sculpture (?), it looks like a piece of fabric flying away because of the wind.

I like it too. And I understand and look forward to the day!

You're in retirement??? You sure have fooled me! :) I love what I see when I see it. Comments are so hard. Just know I'm following and value your eye and voice--it's so refreshing. And this photo? An instant fav for me! I love the colanders with the itty bitty openings....so rice stays in and the cloudy water washes away! :)

I have no issues with how you post! Love following your travels and seeing/learning about different things.
This is a cool sculpture.

Fascinating shot. Great curves and the wonderful gold sheen.

Another one I missed. The textures in this are terrific, along with the curves and color. It is reminiscent of the sculpture that I'd posted in January that we had both liked and photographed. This one is taller, different textures, but for some reason does remind me of that one.
